Brazilian pirates hijacked U.S. military satellites

Several years ago a group of unemployed found that modifying amateur radio equipment could send signals to the satellites, which were promptly replicated, thereby allowing communication between long, very long distances.

The unemployed were concerned most Brazilians, with occupations as truck drivers, illegal loggers, smugglers and the like.

Such use, of course, is illegal because it was a pirate radio interfering with the tower of Congonhas is bad, imagine a guy surrounded in Afghanistan trying to ask for help and being interrupted by someone commenting on the game of São Paulo ...

The Federal Police have arrested over 20 people were Smart enough to join the YahooGroups lists on the subject, but the number of users is still very large, including Fernandinho Beira Mar (though that does not transmit more) and PCC . Besides the FARCs and other terrorist groups.

Pirates using the US Military SATCOM system to chat. Picked up in Bridlington, UK on 29th April 2008 at 23.05 UTC using just a simple indoor dipole antenna with a Uniden UBC-785XLT scanner.
