Goku is a young boy who was created by his grandfather and trained in martial arts for it. On his birthday, 18 years old, Goku's grandfather gets a ball of the dragon - a kind of ball with four bright stars within. According to legend, when meeting with six other spheres in the world, provides its holder the realization of a single desire.

When a tragedy occurs that puts the lives of several people at risk, Goku meets with friends Kame, Bulmer, Yamcha and Chi Chi and are in a race to gather the seven dragon balls.

The version with real people the classic manga Dragon Ball is a disaster for other westernize the protagonist. Goku is in high school and is an outcast of the class.
